BADTH

The British Association of Dramatherapists (BADth) is the professional body for Dramatherapists in the United Kingdom.

It was established in 1977, is formally constituted with Officers and an Executive Committee and has its own Code of Practice. BADth has the legal status of a non-profit-making company, limited by guarantee.

The BADTh aims to:

(1) Educate the public about the benefits, theory and practice of dramatherapy.

(2) Support dramatherapists working in the voluntary sector, education, health, social services, prisons, and those who freelance.

(3) Increase the availability of professionally trained and supervised drama therapists.

(4) Ensure that the high standards in training and work practice are maintained.

(5) Implement equal opportunities policies in all aspects of training, work practice, publications and internal organization.

(6) Respond to an increasing demand for information and advice concerning both dramatherapy and dramatherapists.
